Helping find someoneA Poem by . o O (Deepest_Thoughts)
Those eyes looking straight at me, So empty and dull. I wish I could only see, Why they bury into my skull.
They look all wrong, Full of sorrow and despair. But they look so strong, And yet they do stare.
Your body language has changed, Giving off a small threat. This seems so deranged, But I feel like we just met.
The new you wants me to leave, To be gone and never to return. But with that the real you would grieve, So my back I will not turn.
I know your still in there, Behind a locked door. So I will sit here and glare, Emotions ready to soar.
I want to free you, From this prison your in. He wont let me through, I swear he wont win.
I say things to make you smile, Hoping you can still hear. This being my style, Minus the fear.
I see a glint in your eyes, The strange you fighting it. I can see through his lies. Not fooling me one bit.
The ice has been broken, His shield taken down. The real you has spoken, But still there is a frown.
I wont stop trying, I will find the key. If not, I risk dying, The real you inside crying.
I say that I love you, It is not a lie. You know it to be true, Or I would have said my goodbye.
The darkness has cleared, The light now your guide. Nothing more to be feared, With one swift stride.
My arms open wide, You hug me so slow. Both glad that I tried, Never letting go. © 2009 . o O (Deepest_Thoughts)Author's Note
