Darkness and Bones

Darkness and Bones

A Poem by Lexi Wilkins
"

Writing from the heart, of a very hard time...

"
So many thoughts
Not a word to say
How will I make it
Through another day

I remember they told me
It will get easier with time
But everything stopped
He was no longer mine

The fire spread quick
His death could not be real
All of life's lessons
I could no longer feel

I dropped to my knees
The tears flowing fast
I could hardly breathe
How long would this last

My heartache was deep
It cut to the core
Such painful feelings
That last evermore

All light had been taken
Tears soothing the moans
All that he left behind
Was darkness and bones

Thank you.
you truly showed the affection and what the character was going through in this one, well done.
I like the way your poems are made, they actually make you feel and relate to the character as you go through them.
