It Hurts

I love easily and deeply
I say it all the time to anyone and anything
My mom and I end every phone call with,
"Okay, love you, bye!"
Every time I leave the house I kiss my dog and say,
"Bye, baby, I love you!"
As my coworkers and I leave for home, I say,
"Love you, darling, see you tomorrow!"
I say those three words everyday
Dozens of times a day
There is endless love in my heart
And I give it so freely
I make myself vulnerable
Lay myself at the mercy of others
Every person I've ever kissed owns a piece of my heart
Every first date I've ever been on, I've fallen in love
I'm still a little in love with everyone I've ever dated
My heart gets broken over and over
