Walking Through Your Mind

Walking Through Your Mind

A Poem by Askew

I will walk through you like a field of flowers
My hands will brush against every blade of grass
And I'll stop to smell every rose
I'll lay in your clearings
And let the insects crawl across my skin
And the garden snakes slither through my fingers
I'll pluck your petals
And dissect your leaves
Studying the dirt under a diamond microscope
And learn all there is to learn
You'll enjoy it when I walk the trails
And you'll protest when I wander
Slowly wearing a new path
But you'll always yield to my curiosity
You are mine to walk through
Every flower bud mine to pick
I will decorate my chambers
With bouquets made of your thoughts

I really like this poem Lexi. To think of someone's mind like a field of flowers is quite lovely. To walk through that field of flowers so very sensual, touching, taking in the fragrance. A slow walk, taking in all the wonders and the unexpected. A bouquet of thoughts is delightful.
