In BetweenA Poem by AskewAn abstract poem of love
A voice to charm a hornets nest
And a touch to tame the wild bear The bees are frozen The birds lost their song Even the insects have stopped their dance Hot like tea sipped During the years first snowy day And cold like a popsicle On the hottest day of the year Everything is at a standstill Traffic lights permanently yellow Every flower just moments away from blooming The grass caught between Springtime morning dew And winters early frost All things almost beautiful And nearly decayed So close to perfect And yet so perfectly wrong For an eternity Not quite as the world should be But nowhere near incorrect How one can do this And have it only noticed by me I will never understand And so I beg the question Will you teach me?
