Guilty for what?

All I wanted was a little closure

Don’t you get that?

We were excited to see each other

We agreed for a fact

 

It had been so long since back then

I felt as if there was a time

A time I had missed

To say the real goodbye

 

And so we meet

And we had fun

And so I left with the doubt being none

Of what I had accomplished

 

Then what do you do?

You assume there is more

More than is there

You know that behavior I cannot adore

 

Now I am guilty?

Guilty for what?

You brought this on yourself.

I am not sorry about your damn luck!

Heheheh, the most interesting poems are the ones that intend to serve a sort of back handed slap and/or a strongly swung whiplash at targets like cheaters, snobs, etc. This piece here is a great example. It has some strong and sincere lines throughout which would have awesome attitude when spoken. This piece proves its worth and shoves the pill of "Take That" down the targets throat.
