Road on My MindA Poem by LJWhen you say it’s life, you’d say it happens When you say it’s trouble, you’d say it’ll pass Roads are taken yet no one’s certain To which it’ll lead, smile or pain How I’d wish to control time and feelings Grasp the air, With my own will Revenge, hatred, betrayal and distaste Seems to be an everyday meal I walk this path alone, With all the baggage, life has to offer As much as I’d want to let it go And leave things behind my tired spine It seems it wouldn’t be an option For I know what’s next, Chaos, more betrayal, more pain, more burdens An exaggeration of the Road on my Mind. I push myself up, they pull me down Ask me why I shall answer a million reason Content, a simple word so ironic as it may sound Let them be, cause their time will come. © 2017 LJFeatured Review
