Bird Chaser

Bird Chaser

A Poem by Levendy

You were my bird from afar one i couldn't catch

I saw you soar and fall but still i couldn't snatch

You away from all the damage and pain

For the life a bird knows is nothing the same

You gleam in the sun and die on the ground

You need to be high head right up in the clouds

But when it wears off and the clouds disappear

I will be watching you fall, a continuous leer

For my bird leaves a trail of needles you see

One for her arm and the others for me

For every bird that i know

You were the one who flew too low

Too close to me and what will follow

Is a bird destined be free no pain or sorrow

No caged life or clipped broken wings

What this bird needs is to be in the winds

Be free my bird i will let you go

I have no need now to watch and follow

My bird is gone and i`m left chasing tomorrow.
