This ink knows the page

This ink knows the page

A Poem by Lethu

These walls know my story

These walls know my pain

These walls know my fists

And my fists know no pain

This water knows my thirst

But it knows not how to quench it

My body knows my bed

But my soul knows no sleep

My tongue knows no speech

Coke knows no juice

Milk & Muffins were no good

My mind knows no solace

No peace, after it broke into

Twenty different pieces

And my worst fear was confirmed

Confronted I erupted

My flow was disrupted

When the pebble dropped and

My water rippled

Lemon knows no sweetness

Kermit knows no princess

My logic is fucked up

And I know no reasoning

The ink knows the page; but does the ink know the pen, and the hand that writes with it? Does it know who moves even the hand? You are that. Even the person within you bows before you as your own creation.

About
LE-TOO is how my name is pronounced. I had to start off with that because I know it's a little hard on the tongue for some. POET? Or somebody who just rhymes? Writing verses in well structured lines.. more..
