That inevitable verse

That inevitable verse

A Poem by Lethu

That inevitable verse,

anxiously awaited like

the arrival of a hearse,

or better yet,

an obituary, read on

behalf of a soul whose

flesh is about to be

inherited by the earth,

and like the verse,

inevitable too was his

death.

Call upon his spouse i

say, you heard?

Comfort her

instil ideas of a brighter

future ahead

let her celebrate

the dead,

and enjoy the legacy

that her husband

has left.

About
LE-TOO is how my name is pronounced. I had to start off with that because I know it's a little hard on the tongue for some. POET? Or somebody who just rhymes? Writing verses in well structured lines.. more..
