the Breakup

the Breakup

A Poem by Eslynn

Just wait until you open up your eyes and get a good look:

Of course, soon after I’m going to stab them out.

Well, it seems that violence is the answer after all.

Little Lovely, she leaves cherry blossom kisses on your lips
where I leave needles.

I’m a fire in your bed,
come on, honey, can’t you keep up with me?

This is the break, break, break up,
you’re making me cry, cry, cry my makeup.

I’m going to prove you wrong,
I’m going to make you miserable.

Just wait,
I’m going to make you regret you ever met me.
You’re blazing like the sun,
I’m colder than the winter snow,
they say that opposites attract,
but I guess we just don’t add up.

Somewhere in this city,

I’m going to linger in the dark,
waiting for your Little Lovely,
and I’ll put a bullet straight into her heart!

This is the break, break, break up,
you’re making me cry, cry, cry my makeup.
I’m going to prove you wrong,
I’m going to make you miserable.

And after she gets what she deserves,
you’re going to get yours next.
Watching over your shoulder like you always do,
but this time you’ll have a reason for the paranoia.
Sleeping at night; I’ll be your nightmare,
consuming your conscious; I’ll lurk inside every passing mirror.

This is the break, break, break up,
you’re making me cry, cry, cry my makeup.
I hope that you’re happy now,
and I won’t be happy until both of us are six feet under.
