Daydreamers vs. Realist

Daydreamers vs. Realist

A Poem by Eslynn

The midnight moon hangs high, mirrored onto ocean from the sky.
My will is sinking quicker than this ship.
Goodnight, goodbye, sweet lover, clever fiend.

Ten years ago I wouldn’t have expected this-
to sail the world in such a small boat.
The waves crash down, they’ll break us apart,
the waves crash down, they’ll break our hearts.
Goodnight, goodbye, sweet lover, clever fiend.
This is where I will depart.
Dock your dreamboat beneath the stars,
sail along the milky way.

You’ve always been a daydreamer,
I’ve always been a realist.

This poem is just filled with amazing imagery, starting from the first line! Great job!!! I love the references to a ship sinking, that's really beautiful. (: I also liked the repetition of the line "Goodnight, goodbye, sweet lover, cleaver fiend." (although is it supposed to be CLEVER fiend? just wondering, if not, ignore me. xD) Great job, I enjoyed reading!!! ^_^
