Not Sure If I Should Bother

Not Sure If I Should Bother

A Poem by Letemdangle

I just think differently,
It's something to be proud of,
So I truly believe.

But when you feel there is no point
and disconnected,
What's the use of sharing?

The ones who care as I do,
are already saved.
The others are already gone.

I'm looking at the bottom
of  a bag of microwave popcorn,
all that's left is unflowered souls.

I'm not going to break my teeth on them,
they offer no nutrients. Damn fools really.
Like offering Jam to Pigs!

Farewell, farewell.
Reading is food for the mind.
Viewing a way to pass the time.

Creative writing, black truffles,
Creative thought, life saving.
A creative mind, dead as the medium dries and fades away.

I love the stanza describing the popcorn bag. How original and brilliant of you!

I too pride myself on being different but attempting to change others is a waste of time. I believe we just have to try to live together and make the best of it......a great poem
