"The Collapsing"A Poem by Lesly OteroWhat I feel every 9/11."The Collapsing" Seeing those buildings collapsing, Urged me to start crying. Knowing that many people died that day Turned my stomach around like clay. Police officers, Fire fighters, Soldiers, Women, Men, Children, All innocent people who didn't deserve to die, died. All of our hands were tied. America was destroyed and left with no hope. 9/11 happened so fast Like a match burning rapidly through a yard of rope. Today it seems like every year we turn back to remember, Remember the lives of those innocent people, But it doesn't bring closure or changes anything, Because every year is another year that we realize that their gone.
