The Creeper

The Creeper

A Poem by Secret Lullaby

In this house I lay awake.

Doing whatever it takes,

So I won't fall a sleep.

I don't want to see that creep.

He haunts each and every dream.

Which causes me to cry and scream.

I can't forget his face.

And how his features seem out of place.

He says that soon I am going to die.

I really hope it's just a lie.

But what if his words are true?

Then what the hell am I going to do?

So to get rid of the fright,

I lay awake every night.

But I dont know how much more I can take.

Befor my consintration finally breaks.

Then I will go to sleepm

And once again see the creep.

I really like this since I can totally relate! I know a lot of other people can too. For one, I love horror movies and the creepy characters. Ha. My ultimate favorite horror creature happens to be Freddy Krueger since I've grown-up around my daddy watching the VHS tapes every night. I gotten use to it. We actually found Freddy more funny than scary since his lines in the tapes are hilarious.
I do think this poem does have a great flow and nice rhyme scheme. Great work... like always!
