why fall for the bad guy?

Why do good girls like bad guys?

I have had this question for a real long time.

They know from the start,

That he is just going to break their heart.

But still they fall for him,

Even though they know their chances are slim.

I mean I know at first it can be really fun.

But trust me honey that boy is nothing but a bum.

Its only a matter of time,

Till he crosses the line.

Then his real intentions will be clear.

But I dont even want to see a tear.

Becuse you knew all along.

That his love was wrong.

the first two lines reminded me of a song by falling in reverse called good girls bad guys. i love this poem and i to have had this question. the only problem is that im the girl that falls in love with the bad guys and i have no idea y. for me the badder a guy is the more i like him. i cant explain why thats just how i am.

I've had this question as well. I asked one of my friends once, she told me its because she feels adventurous, it's more fun. Though I still think she's unintentionally taking the wrong path. Either ways, I'm with you on this, you have conveyed your point rather clearly, I like the simple tone here, and the rhyme scheme. The conclusion's also perfect, and I enjoyed reading the whole poem, great job!

Ohmygosh, I love this poem Leslie.
This is sad since I have had this same question in my mind for a long time, too. I happen to be one of those girls that falls for the wrong guys sometimes. I hate that I do that. But all of that has changed, if you've noticed by now :)
