Surrender

Should I leave or should I stay?

I ask this question every day.

We scream and fight,

Everday and all damn night.

I cant get these voices out of my head!

Telling me our love is dead.

You say everything will be fine.

But soon someone is going to cross that line.

And say something they cant take back.

But maybe its honesty we lack?

Maybe we just weren't ment to be?

Who am I to deny destiny?

Should I even try?

When all I seem to do is cry?

Baby we are drifting apart.

So stop now and save your heart.

The decision has been made.

And there's no longer a reson for it to be delayed.

Our love has come to an end.

And I am ready to surrend.

Reminds me of how my relationship used to be, back when things were very uncertain. She would yell and shout at me saying I was freaking out when it was all because I was scared to loose her but then one day I asked if she was going to dump me and it must of hit something because she changed since then. I was done with the fighting and ready to give in but she pulled me back up and raised her own white flag and now we're happy together and going strong :)

I am not sure if I like the last line. I don't think that it has to comply with the rhyme. I'd like it better if it just said surrender.

Maybe you have far too many differences. However, if you understand the differences it can even bring you closer together. It is up to you. Just think about this:

Have you ever tried to figure out how your fights start?
Ever thought about who starts it? (sometimes it seems like you didn't and the other did could be the other way around)
Do you listen without cutting him off?
Perhaps someone is listening but the other doesn't feel like you are?

If the fighting is causing you heartache and not making you happy, perhaps it would be best to go..but it is totally up to you. Everyone fights from time to time but if it's constantly I don't see that really giving people rest and happiness like relationships should be...at least i think so I'm not really sure since i haven't really been in one but that's my advice xD
