TiredA Poem by LeslieNoel
I'm tired
My body feels like a two-ton pile of lead I drag my body to complete tasks That I used to enjoy But now dread That was before sandbags found their homes Permanently behind my eyelids I think of sleep And at night I am eager to go to bed But in its stead I get jolted awake From some unknown reason Maybe it's something in the air Or the season I thought of rules to bend this curve Trying desperately to observe Any positive change I'm starting to feel deranged From this lack of sleep Performing at sub-par I feel like the tar Beneath my feet All I want to do is sleep
