Daisy

Daisy

A Poem by LeslieNoel

Dainty white pedal
Drops to the dewy ground
In the late dawn of August
The air turns chill
As another pedal falls
Further still
Living throughout the summer
It shone it's white light
Attracting insects and the human eye alike
The pedals fall
One after another
They twirl downwards
Back to nature
Absorbed by the Earth
It'll all begin again
Anew

The theme here seems to be renewal. Like the daffodils, we too will return to the earth, but others will come to replace us.

Well, that's just a circle of life
