Spirituality

A Poem by LeslieNoel

I draw upon my environment
The soft glow of the candle
The sweet taste of the chamomile tea
Warms not only my insides but smooths
Over the jagged and raw parts of my nerves
My journal sits upon my lap
And through my etchings and scratchings
I contemplate my life's secrets and questions
I draw upon these resources to map
My way to understanding and truthful realizations

Beautifully expressed. Your writing brought calmness to my early morning and I thank you for that. Candles and chamomile tea can certainly smooth those jagged edges.
