Beautiful Version

A poem about being the best version of myself.

Encased in a cocoon

For an undetermined amount of time

I grew

My wings took root

And blossomed into a free floating fabric of dreams

Colors collided and birthed me anew

I floated upon the magic of the wind

Soared to greater and higher heights

For once I feel like my authentic self

Born from my mistakes and failures

But also earned from those losses

I feel free to be me
