Letting Go

Letting go of false viewpoints that we have been taught by society is incredibly freeing.

Letting go of shackles is freeing
after having them wrapped tightly
around your legs for so long
I can take steps forward
breathe and look around
Perhaps even make preparations
to reach new heights
Live life in a brighter light
If there is no longer
a misleading view point
blocking my way
think of what I can accomplish today
Maybe I can start living life my own way
