The way you hurt me
I can't explain
For even I do not comprehend
The deeper meaning
Of the words that left your lips
What do those harsh words mean?
Words that sound so incredulous to my ears
Words that make me feel so ashamed
For asking the simplest of requests
A request of love
The desire to be shown that I am worth
A little effort
And that I'm wanted their after all
