Dragon Fly Performance

When I was at the park the other day I witnessed several bright colored dragonflies dancing upon the breeze together. I thought it would make a lovely poem.

The circlet of dragonflies
Flit and fly through the sky
Dancing in moving pirouettes
Encircling my head
A rhythmic design of electric colors
Dazzles the eye
As they rise higher
The band of colorlets
Become more spry
Performing a routine
Of circles and dives
A gush of wind
Blows through
Taking them
To greater heights anew
Away into the bright blue
