ArrivalA Poem by LeslieNoelThis is how I felt when something very big that I was waiting for finally came into view.
And it is there
Finally, the time draws near For me to reach my finger tips To that which I have so longed for Ached over That desire that has choked out Drowned out all other thoughts and motivations Only to be replaced With this one voluptuous dream That must take place Will take place In a matter of days Not weeks or months Anymore The relief is palpable Like a sweet treat So delicate against the tongue And yet as loud and ecstatic As shimmering fireworks as they crackle in the air Shining forth in brilliant colors and patterns I will be taking my long awaited prize now With a pluck of the fingers For it is now finally within reach And the wait is over © 2017 LeslieNoel |
