Mother NightA Poem by Leslie PhilibertA poem written late at night
You visit me for half a day
Eyes as black as a crow`s heart Arms as frozen as bark in winter with a light shimmer of silver. You are impure as a roof full of stars As tough as a knee scarred with gravel. My skin sticks and peels against metal as my hand seeks the touch at your side. I smally wandered the ways and steps looking for you . I am scared to be alone. I am scared to meet you again. It is all too late.
