A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

more than a potboiler, I hope..

"
autumnsun the soft light close
bloom-in-falling yellow choice
damp the day each circle ending
fade the sky as eyes smile tight

the last line is a classic..."eyes wide shut"

"bloom-in-falling yellow choice"

so glad autumn is here as far as the season of cool, deep halcyon skies and crisp leaves...

but when it is the autumn of one's life...a very sad time..the smiles are tight---and we finally appreciate those we perhaps let slip by our attention during the previous seasons of their lives.

Leslie I know you are never one to biol the kettle let alone a pot lol!
As always you choose words so carefully as you craft scenes and time and colour and texture into a succinct few lines of excellence.
