Paradise Lost

Paradise Lost

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

the truth

"
a small girl serious cycles
determined down a lane;
two crows flood over
a dark meadow, slight, fast
and a cold rock filled
with gassers and haters
rolls round the sun;
good reasons to deny
this iced and distant ball

Leslie, I don't think you are really talking about the planet Earth, are you? Are you identifying? Is this the way you once felt? But even without knowing your motivations, I think your poem stands on its own merits. And I think it is a jolly good poem. I enjoyed it!

this work is quite apocalyptic and dystopian in nature; interesting read

More than two actions but there is still a dichotomy here.
I very the way that one action leads into the others both disturbing and pleasing. This is not a piece that can be taken wholly at face value and therin lies its strength.

The Earth is indeed a place where dispicable acts take place on a daily basis and of that we have nothing to excuse our inactions. Even as we watch the innocence of life and nature. This is bleak and it echoes of cold empty chambers where life has no meaning.
