The Dark Between the Stars

The Dark Between the Stars

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

an aside, or fragment, a bit lost...

"
stones under the sand
roads around your eyes,
      when the moon stops

the tide fails,a cold bell
drops out of  the ringing sky
      and you hide in shadow

darkness and stillness do not imply silence - nice write and great observation

Have you ever thought to ask yourself, is there anything between the stars, or what would happen in nature if something caused the tides to stop. How do we find the answers? Valentine

Very evocative. Love 'roads around your eyes' and 'the ringing sky'. Very clever.

I've said it before and I'll say it again..... the way you use words is nothing short of amazing Leslie. This is a fantastically atmospheric write.

As always Leslie with your words less is more as you take our emotion and make us feel so bereft with a wash of so few words!
