Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

just a few lines

"
Alone in a crowded room
         she whispers through
         her sharp cat`s teeth..
Count the rest of your life
in days you do the same things.
Imagine a space in the air
where I will never be.

Harsh, and cutting -- the end of a relationship in a public setting.

Very sad. Very sad. Yes the absence of a loved one. Oh, how it hurts and hurts and hurts. Even after time goes by, the hurt is still there. How do you really say goodbye. I hold this poem close.

A thought evoking piece. I can identify with the lines "Count the rest of your life in days you do the same things". I have thought like this and about it very often, it leaves a sentiment of insignificance in me.
