A Small Girl Sleeping At Night

A Small Girl Sleeping At Night

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

a romantic poem

"
As yet you know little of love
Your breath as soft as a night tide
Your eyes half closed like dark olives
Your face at rest as a warm breeze

Let us for now be at peace
Like two stars forever at distance
But always one in measured sleep

that remind me with my little sister when she sleeps, sometimes i just look at here and see the purity of a little child in her half closed eyes, and your poem described that in a very great and pure way, well doe Mr :)

This so adorable and beautiful. This is the kind of love poem one can read to their little girls to give them the inspiration of love to come. It gives me the sense of a message saying "your time will come". Very well expressed. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed the read.

I recall knowing all of such love as a child. It made me feel incredibly safe.

This is quite beautiful.

Beccy.

A soft, romantic, poem, with a lovely wistfulness to it.

There is such vulnerability inherent in letting a man watch us sleeping. To observe, without desire. A rare gift. This was beautiful.
