CatsA Poem by Leslie Philibertjust a poemIt is night but there are lights to show that veins are open. Houses are trapped in amber and the darkness is full of cats that are nothing apart from eyes beside laurel and hot breath on my neck. You stop before you enter and look from side to side. You risk leaving the rained street. © 2014 Leslie Philibert
