Breathwing ( for Sophie Scholl)

Breathwing ( for Sophie Scholl)

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

the missing punctuation and use of the lower case is intentional !

"
so as they took you down the concrete corridor
as if you were going to be married you must
have been scared and full of rain stadelheim
is too hard for a young girl filled with men with
dull eyes and the corridor was too long and too
short and cold with corners but for all this when
my knees are warmed with earth on a summer`s
day you are the wings over munich for now and
ever and even longer full of light and grace

Hallo Tina, I`m glad you like this. Spohie Scholl was an incredibly brave young girl.
Sophie Scholl is a modern hero. That her story isn't compulsory reading is a crime. This elegant writing does her and her comrades' story justice and dignity. Lovely, powerful work.
