Moon Train

Moon Train

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

about the moon, maybe

"
The Moon has fine blue lines,
paper skinned and cow faced,
jealous of stars.

The Moon has been been
bitten to pieces, it ignores
standing water, dull as a circle,

but regular as a train
carrying stones,
night ballast,
a shaker of cups
along the tracks,
it waits and breathes
in the frost.

The moon is beautiful and you describe it here wonderfully.
It's enchanting and always calls to us to look up.
A wonderful poem!!!

I see a pale morning moon hanging in a crisp blue sky in this one but when I look again as into the facets of a diamond I see something new. The mark of a legendary poet Leslie!
