Lady Frost

Lady Frost

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

a few lines, just an observation of little value

"
Winter has killed Autumn
                    with frost, the old slaves
hide the trees, they cough out ice
and fill the ways with hardness.

The snow hidelines the fields,
black clouds hunt against the pale,
crows shatter like glass.

Then this is the Winter,
brittle and heavy with sleep.

I like your unique descriptions on winter, cold and closed down, waiting for spring and the return of life.

A very impressive vision of the darkness and bleakness that winter can be.
An amazing poem!

This is the dark version of Winter... She is a sinister entity in the woods...
Well crafted darkness, Leslie.~xoxo~

Little value, no. Some, for sure. Always.

my wife loves to go out in it, and wonders at her fragile husband (a california boy)...this is no road diverging in a snowy wood, but more a hard trek across a cold reality, as a more personal Autumn continues to gather in frost
