Faust in Damascus

Faust in Damascus

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

then and now

"
Gretchen with a scarf
and the sardine children,
wood smoke and tea

ice wind
a dead house full of legs
blood bags in the ( living ) room

two souls
children hop, Kinder
behind the camera, the last laugh

never enough knowledge to be learned
the  fat faces of history
will eat this later ;

Nichts bessers weiß ich mir an Sonn- und Feiertagen
als ein Gespräch von Krieg und Kriegsgeschrei...

Tell me, you b******s;
What holds the world together ?

Expression is your mark...brilliantly so...you voice a time in place and let it breathe! x

More like a nation barely stitched together pouring refugees through the busted seems. This one is my favorite. I hope a lot of people realize their blessings, those that are citizens of half way free nations anyways.
