Questions

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

a joke....

"
There are many questions that worry mankind
Has Katies sister got a lovely behind ?
Is there life on Mars , or even in the States ?
Will Obama and the Iranians ever be mates ?
But the biggest question that should concern us all most
And keep us all talking from coast to far coast
Why do the actors in Navy CSI
always wave mugs of coffee as the camera passes by ?

I am deeply ashamed to have written this. I have written a lot of really stupid poems, but
this is deeply silly. It will be removed in a week. I just wanted to cheer myself up. Forgive me !

Thats a bloody ripper. Just catching up on some of your older work. I suspect that you have not always been in Bavaria, Germany?

Lol it is brilliant :), you know this is an ice breaker, sometimes we are all stressed and busy in our life everyday and reading this kind of piece will makes us smile. Good job Mr. Leslie :)

Yup ! I am in agreement with the majority ! That's a scary thought and new one at that LOL it's a keeper. Jacob summed it up right away. I couldn't put it into words. But Jacob did and others added good points too.

i disagree with you leslie...

in its "silly" humor as you say, this poem makes a really valid statement about our society today...

when all the really important issues are hanging out there...what do we worry about?

reality shows, the next text message about nothing, and characters in a tv series that are made up...
real life takes a back seat in importance.

i really think this is a clever way to express that.

not a throw away poem at all.

HAHA GIBBS Don't let it go I love it. Forget all the other stuff for a day and just think about NCIS for a day. Happy already.

He-he. Reminded me of those scenes in Top Gun when ol' TC does his dumb fly-by and all - and the guy spills his dumb coffee all over his dumb shirt.
I agree with the other writers - let the poem remain. It cheered me up, too.

Why remove it? Just because it's not gloomy and burdened with thoughts and imagery of abstract stuff doesn't make it a bad poem. I enjoyed reading this. :)

Ah profound! And pithy! And lots of other things I can't think of just at the moment. Except timely, oh and did I say pithy?
