Shelley - The Last Voyage

Shelley - The Last Voyage

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

a look back

"
The gentleness of rain was in the wind.
No hesitant step ; no slip on the salt planks,
the sky broken with grey. A sea change for a radical
with no fear of God ; the frantic lover on a barge Don Juan.
A dissolution into muse ; not Lerici but a fire on the beach.
Green sea chopped ; a seagull bending like a iron bar slowly.
Cor Cordium ; you have already been claimed
for more than ten sea miles.

Very visual and gives a real Enlightenment flavour. But what would Polidori say?
I, on the other hand find it very beautiful and yet subtle.

A very impressive write. It's very visual with lots of motion and action.
I really enjoyed this a lot.
