Circle

Circle

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

an attempt to write a serious poem..

"
A rain hawk circles in the dawn.
The dawn uncovers the trees ;
the trees lead to a forest.
The forest sinks into the damp earth ;
the damp earth waters the stones.
Stones are under a rain hawk -
a rain hawk circles in the dawn
a rain hawk circles in the dawn.

A beautiful way to wake up in the morning and make contact with our conscious experience, before we begin our daily activity. Thks Les. You redefine what is serious.

Dramatically depicts a perceived interconnection--one natural circle.
I very much like the sound and feel of this short poetic account.
An impressive offering, Leslie!

Thanks !
this piece has the power to saturate and sink into skin, bones.. the root of being.. it illustrates a birds eye view and zooms in close to find connections in nature, earth, there remains forces from the sky (dawn & hawk) and the ground... (trees and stones)...
