a Greek village

The gods have turned the houses into light,
the whiteness a parody of snow.

Author's Note

I wanted to write a long poem about a Greek village, but only managed two lines I like.
Maybe it`s important what you don´t write as well as what you write.

Incredibly vivid image, great job =D
It's cool to see I'm not the only one who has written a fragment (same story: wanted to write a complete poem but whatever I tried to match with the first two verses was just not at the same level)

Second poem I read from you tonight.
The first one is truly wonderful;
there is this unidentifiable element that gave
me unique feeling while reading the piece.
I just can't comment because there is still a need for me
to dig out to understand what has been conveyed.
Also--this one, it connected me to something more.
Wow, what you have here are true poetry!!!!

Hi Leslie,
Glad you read my poem as now I discover yours. You have it right. Length of a piece means nothing if it lacks substance. There is an art in conveying meaning in few words and here I see the Greek village.
