Can't Be Eplained

Can't Be Eplained

A Poem by Lesley Irma

The best things in life can’t be explained

how you feel when that someone special says your name

the touch of your child’s hand

your first concert to see your favorite band

the anticipation as the storm rolls in

finally catching up with a long-lost friend

the first snow fall of the year

the look of love in the one you hold dear

how you feel when you hear your favorite song

you want it to play on, and on, and on

the softness of baby’s skin

and how a giggle pulls you in

a connection only souls understand

how my toes feel wiggling in the sand

the first tug of beer after a long hard day

watching your favorite team play

No, the best things in life can’t be explained

they are different for everyone in every way

but sometimes you are lucky and sometimes you find

someone who can’t explain the same things you like

I agree. I became wise in love after I held my first child. Today I help raise my grandchildren. Love is sharing your life and time with the people you care about. A powerful poem with great meaning.
