Song of TouchA Poem by FemmedPlumeFor ChristopherKiss my neck and touch my hair Hold me where awakes my soul A hand that reaches for me, always From now until that hand grows old In mine. Wake yourself from dead asleep To hear me when I can't hold back A sigh, caress, a heartbeat, all A way to speak when speaking lacks The words. Always, fear lives underneath We both have loved, and both have lost And both have need of certainty Before we pay the heavy cost Of love. But, when you cannot speak aloud I can no longer say, in truth That I hear nothing from you, for Your song of touch is enough proof For me. © 2011 FemmedPlume
