I know it hurts now
For I feel the pain too
I know you think you can't go on
And nothing will ever be good again
But slowly you begin to smile
And laugh
And you can look back on the memories
Without wanting to die
As the days and weeks slip past
You find yourself smiling
And laughing
Missing me less each day
Until finally you see
What we once had is gone
For the miles are too much to handle
And this distance too far to conquer
