~ That Time ~

~ That Time ~

A Poem by Misery
"

(words to a daughter)

"

Darling, do you remember That Time?
"Which time, Daddy?"

That Time
You scratched out your eyes
Until you could see
Right through your foxy mask?
"Yes, Daddy."

That Time
You cut out your tongue
Then told me all about it
And showed me your shoe?
"I remember, Daddy."

I miss That Time.
"Me too, Daddy."

I'm smiling... sorry if it is meant to be very serious. I think it actually a lovely poem, even though it may have connotations. It has made me think of the things my kids did. I could probably put a few connotations there too! I really enjoyed this poem ... with the explanatory pictures!

Such a strangely worded poem. And yet, is compelling - memorable in a way. Could be play-acting, could be nightmare-ish..

May the skies above cherished England bless you always with golden light from a benevolent sun.
