~ And Love Is Truth ~

~ And Love Is Truth ~

A Poem by Misery

And love is truth ... As truth is seen

I fall, my friend ... Deep in between;

My life is made ... Of scrubbing rags

Used by sailors ... To scour hags

Hulls that trespass ... In merchant seas

In search of gold ... In search of greed

I’m the old man ... Bereft of sea

I’ve caught my fish ... But sharks did feast;

And love is truth ... As truth is known

Now here I am ... Now all alone.

Strange, even in the sad lull of this piece...I am somehow comforted...I believe it is your soul☺

I loved this. The rhyme scheme is awesome. I also liked the way it told a story and gave you some imagery while also having a deeper meaning. The repetition at the beginning and end with a little twist really brought it together.
