Kicking RocksA Poem by Leonard Birchlyrics about living
There must be more to life,
Than getting by, And reconnection fees. There must be more to life, Than keeping time, And waiting for sunsets. There must be more to life, Than kicking rocks, And raising a baby. There must be more to life, Than dollar bills, And smoked filled lungs. I just haven't found it yet. There must be more to life, Than finding veins, For a needles empty solace. There must be more to life, Than sleep deprived, Paranoid nervousness. There must be more to this, Than blackened eyes, And raided motel rooms. And there must be more to this, Than leaving behind, A life you'll never know. But you haven't found it yet. There must be more to this, Articulately blasphemous, Existence. There must be more to this, Than searching for, A light that never fades. There must be more to this, Than desperate fits, From elected despots. There must be more to this, Than melancholy, Entreaties for sympathy. I just haven't found it yet. And there must be more to life, Than stringing words, To formulate vague meanings. I just haven't found it yet. I haven't found it yet. I doubt you'll find it now. © 2012 Leonard BirchAuthor's Note
