Keeper of the Lighthouse

It's about two young lovers who are preparing to depart because the man is a mariner and will be at sea for six months. The girl promised to wait but she ended up waiting longer than she expected. [wouldn't fit in the description]
I'm thinking about turning this into a full-on story...maybe to give it more background and plot to the two lovers. Like making it into a WWII thing. Maybe. I read it out thrice and I stayed up all night writing, so now my brain feels fried and I really don't know how the story is like. Reviews would be greatly appreciated ^-^
