To Whom It May Concern (2002)

To Whom It May Concern (2002)

A Poem by Leon Gipson
"

I was asked to write something using the word "interactive".

"

If I write not for you
To whom is this written
For someone so smitten
Or, just a rhyme to do.

A kitten, a kitten
So cozy to the touch
Doesn’t ask for much
Only a lap for sittin’

Ethereal concepts to clutch
Speaking not without stammer
Seeking only a bit of glamour
Am I asking too much?

Little gray cells they do clamor
And spark all about
Oh, to shout
How’s my grammar?

Riddled by doubt
Not knowing the sound
Running like a hound
Searching for the route.

Looking all around
Feeling so unattractive
Writing so reactive
The answers do abound.

Living life interactive
And charting a way
Knowing not the stay
Yet things so attractive.

Like night and day
The things we do
The thoughts of you
Of words to convey.

I bid you not adieu
For we are interactive
In thoughts so attractive
You and me, so true.
I write for you.

(alternative ending)

I bid you not adieu
For our paths now interactive
In words so attractive
I write to you.

About
Began writing "poetry" many years ago. Simple stuff that had to rhyme, now it tends to be more "modernistic", but dark at times and sometimes rhymes - depends upon the mood. Those that I will be post.. more..
