Future Girl

Future Girl

A Poem by Leon Gipson
"

A poem written for someone that lives eight hours in the future.

"

Out of the temporal mist

A glimpse he caught
Of the future
Like none other

Her smile sweet
A beckoning wink
Yet wit to sharp
For a common guy

Separated they are
By time and space
His future
Her past

Pebbles will caress
As she strolls
By the sea
Only he can imagine

The radiance of her hair
A glowing smile
Melts the heart
As he ponders

By a distant shore
In the distant past
Seeing the future
If only a glance.
