WindowsA Poem by Leo Allen
The walls enclosed our bodies
But we wouldn't budge closer. The night foreshadowed the end As the next day chose her. She would lose this addiction And realize it's for the better. Through murky, unsettled minds I stand glad I met her. The water tipped and tapped Against the dotted window pane. Her eyes ate mine, And she rained. © 2016 Leo Allen |
